Who We Are
BSW is founded and led by Dr. Rimma Teper - a behavioural scientist and culture risk expert with a rare combination of academic rigour and enterprise-scale practice. She built a Culture Risk function from the ground up inside a globally regulated financial institution, developing an enterprise-wide culture audit methodology that sets the benchmark for how culture risk is assessed and governed inside complex, regulated organizations.
Before that, she held senior behavioural science roles across consulting and innovation, leading applied research in financial services, healthcare, and organizational design.
Rimma holds a PhD from the University of Toronto and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Yale University and the Rotman School of Management. Her published research, cited nearly 3,000 times, examines ethical behaviour and moral decision-making, why people behave differently than they predict they will, and how context and emotion shape judgment under pressure. That research is the scientific foundation for how BSW approaches culture risk: not as a values or communications problem, but as a decision-making and behavioural conditions problem.
She continues to teach psychology at the University of Toronto.
